Application for May Arts Design Team Call

Good Morning my amazing Blogger Friends.  Today I am sharing my submission to join the May Arts Design Team.  I have created a fun girly bag, a card and how about a fun pin for your jacket...  It was perfect timing because I just won this amazing striped ribbon on May Arts Ribbon Facebook page.  I knew exactly what I wanted to make.  Well I hope you enjoy what I have made...
Wish me luck.

Recipe for this card:  Neenah white card-stock, Gourmet Rubber Stamps, Memento tuxedo black ink pad, May Arts ribbon and Glue Dots.  Recipe for Pin:  May Arts ribbon, Aleene's Tacky Glue and Jolee's Boutique accents flowers.

Well what do you think so far..Do you think I am off to a good start?  I hope that you enjoy my tutorial below.  I would love to know what you think.

This is the canvas bag that I decorated.
You will need the following:  A sewing machine, thread, a canvas bag, ribbon, flowers, double sided fabric tape, scissors and canvas material.
I then cut 3 inch strips out of the material.
I wanted a gathered look so I sewed along the edge folding the ribbon
and material as i sewed.
I then sewed all the pieces together.  I thought it might be easier when adding to the bag.
Time to sew everything together.  I added all the ruffles to the bag and I hand stitched the flowers.
And finally the finished product.  In California where I live you do not get plastic bags anymore so you have to take your own bag to carry your good home.  Why not have something fun and pretty to hang on your shoulder.  Plus they are fun to make.

Thank you all for joining me today.  I hope that you have enjoyed my projects and I hope to make the next round of the May Arts Design Team Call.  If you want to try your luck at being a Ribbonista well there is still plenty of time.  You can get all the detail on the

Have a wonderful crafty day.
