Merry & Bright...

Happy Friday everyone... it is never too late to post right? Well I am getting ready to send my nieces and nephews there Christmas package and I usually make them a card. I have gone bright once again surprise surprise. I just can't help myself. I just don't think you get the same affect with just red and green but that is just me. I am just a non-traditional kinda girl.

I went a little wild with the color but these cards where inspired by Angelica Conrad. She created an awesome Christmas card with these fun colors and I was like INSPIRED. So thanks Angelica. 

If you look at the snowflake I went a little wild with the NUVO Crystal drops. I love those things. Do you own any? If not I say to you WHY? GO and order some, they are awesome.

I created this card using NUVO: Crystal Drops and Shimmer Powders along with Reverse Confetti: Layered Snowflake confetti cuts and Honey Bee Stamps: Merry & Bright sentiment. I just love the script that HBS uses on their sentiments. 

Well I hope that the kids will like there cards they will be filled with money so I am pretty sure they will like them. They are old enough that money is the best gift for them as they give you no clues to what they want. It was so different when we where kids right?

Crafty Day...

I am having a super crafty week so far. I just got these new stamps from Avery Elle and I am loving them. This stamp set is called Some Bunny and if you ask me everyone needs it. The big balloon and this sweet little bunny just makes me happy.

I created the background using the left over NUVO shimmer powder from the second card. I was only making one card but I had this cool color affect on my desk and I lifted it off and was inspired again.  So two cards today yay..

On this card I used Avery Elle: Three Hearts Elle-ments and And Then stamp set. I created the background with the NUVO shimming powders and die cut the hearts. I though it would be fun to add some vellum. I used my sewing machine to attached it to card. I embossed the sentiment with Altenew Antique Gold embossing powder. 

This card almost became a shaker card but changed my mind. I have to say it is a lot more pretty in person. It is hard to photograph vellum.

Merry & Bright...

Oh happy day.... today I am getting crafty with ADORNit. I love these gorgeous Printables. Did you know that they are printed on watercolor paper? Color and cut, I mean it does not get any more easier than this. I also used my Brother Scan n Cut machine to cut the image. The printables come on a 12x12 sheet. 

I used the What's New and Season's Greetings paintables. Colored with Altenew watercolors. I also added some fun NUVO Crystal drops and Mayarts burlap string. 

I know this is not your typical Christmas card but I can think of a few friends that might enjoy the spring look to this Christmas card. I wish that I could create a bundle of the same Christmas cards to send out but I get bored so each Christmas card is unique. One of a kind I guess you can say.

Bewitching Halloween...

Hands up with you love cute Halloween Stamps...  I am trying my luck again this year for the 2018 Card Design Superstar at My Favorite Things. I love a good challenge and well you just never know if you will be one of the lucky winners unless you throw a card in the mix right? 

Because Halloween is next month I thought I would do a Halloween themed card and well I just can't resist this cute stamp set... My Favorite Things: Happy Haunting.

I created the background using NUVO Storm Cloud and Violet Brocade Shimmer Powder. It is an easy way to create a fun and colorful background. I tried other backgrounds but loved this one the best. I colored the images with Copic sketch markers and yes I added some Copic opaque.. I know I am addicted I can't help myself. 

I am entering this in the My Favorite Things: Clean & Simple Genius Category.

Party Flock Star....

Happy Thursday everyone. Why yes I am still around, you would not think so with how little I have been posting. I have had a busy couple of weeks. I had to fly home to get my mom so she could come and visit for a week. This was the first time flying in a long time so I thought it would make it a little easier for her. We have also been working on our home again. We just had the house insulated. Our home was built in the 70's and I guess that was not required. Our electric bill was high so to save and hold the cool air in we insulated it. You would not believe the difference. A great investment. 

NOW we just need a pool..... haha I am working on my husband.... wish me luck!

Now to the good stuff.... I made a card YAY. Today I am getting crafty with MFT Stamps: Toucan Do It and Carta Bella: Dotted Flower Die set. I colored the images with Copic sketch markers and used some fun NUVO: Crystal Drops. If you have not already noticed you will see where I might have touched the dots before they where dry. I was like oh well it adds character. RIGHT?

Happy Tuesday everyone.. what's new? Me not a whole lot just chillin this week. It is still HOT and HUMID we have been running our air for a long time and got my electric bill WOWZER. Got to pay to be cool LOL. 

Well as I am in my COOL house (haha) I decided to create a card and well this is what I came up with. I did a Ranger Alcohol Ink background and die cut it to get this cool mix of color background. 

I colored me up these Best Buds from Paper Smooches and die cut them with the matching Best Buds die set. Oh yeah I sell this set in my store www.drivebycrafts. Just click on the description and you will see. I colored with Copic sketch markers and added some dimension with Scrapbook Adhesives Foam Squares and those cute dots are from NUVO: Mustard Crystal Drops. YES we sell both of these too. heehee

A Home...

Happy Hello everyone.. One of my sweet friends just bought a new home. She used to be a blogger but not so much anymore. She was so excited to get a home I decided to create this card for her. I need to mail it. LOL I literally just finished it and now writing my post. That is usually how it goes. I used to plan ahead but not anymore. 

I created this card using Jane's Doodles: Home Sweet Home stamp set colored with Copic sketch markers and a simple stencil for the background. Simple and sweet. Oh yeah I also added a few NUVO Crystal drops. That is all. I hope she likes it.

H-Birthday...

Happy Day everyone.. Well I am just now getting back into normal life. For those who do not know my FIL has gone to heaven. We just got back from Canada on Sunday after being there for over a week. I am so grateful to God for being with us and showing us his love in every situation we had to deal with.  We could not have done it without God and I am so glad that my FIL is now in heaven and pain free. CANCER SUCKS!

Well I am having a better day today so I thought I would make a card(s). I just got this My Favorite Things: Happy Birthday Block die-namics in the Drive By Crafts store. It is in stock and ready to ship.

I first did a watercolor background and then added some fun glitter paper as the background. Got to have some bling bling on your card sometimes right?  Such a simple card to create anyone can do it. AND with watercolors you can really change it up. Go wild with color!

AND because this die is so awesome.. I used the negative to create this card. I mean come on how fun is this die? I know you want it right.. remember we sell it at Drive By Crafts here.  I also used Lawn Fawn: Plan On It stamp set.. those are the little balloons. Fun right?

Complete Recovery...

YAY it is Thursday almost time for another fun weekend. I am telling you the older you get the faster time flies. Weeks just keep passing me by. But that's ok I live life to it's fullest so I am good. Life is good and I am one happy critter. LOL

Well this week I have finally finished a card. I had lots of business stuff to catch up on so not much time for crafting. How Rude right? haha.. but you know I love my business. DBC is my dream.

I needed a praying for you card so I created this one. I would never buy a card from the store. Have you seen store bought cards are like $5.99. When did they get so expensive? I could not believe it.

Happy Friday everyone.. today I am getting crafty with Concord & 9th, Waffle Flower Crafts and Tonic Studio NUVO. I am mixing it all up today. Going wild with color. 

Any plans this weekend? We have a special event to go to on Saturday but that is about it. Should be fun.

I stamped the background and added this fun die cut about the sentiment. Finished it up with NUVO Crystal Drops just to bring out the colors that much more from the stamped background. The colors are almost a perfect match. I did not plan that it just worked out.

The Sweetest...

Happy Tuesday everyone... today I am getting a little crafty and messy at the same time. You would not believe the mess I made making this background. It helps to keep it on the paper.. LOL just al little tip. 

I created the background with a couple of different mediums. I used watercolors first and while it was still wet I put some NUVO: Violet Brocade  Shimmer Powder and finished it up with some Copic Opaque white. Have I said before that I just love fun bright colors. They are so fun to create with. Go wild and have fun.

The stamp set I used is Altenew: Summer Swirls. How fun are these ice cream images and this set has an ice cream truck too. That will make an appearance on my next card. I also add some opaque to the images just because I think it looks so cool.  The images are colored with Copic sketch markers.

Simple and SWEET.. card to create today. I love when they just come together.

Well we are half way done with this week... time sure does fly when you have lots to do. But I always have time for making a card. How cute are these little images... They are from Kindred Stamps: Practically Perfect. You know me I love to color up little people. Plus I love me some polka dots. What would one of my cards be if I did not put polka dots?

Warm Holiday Hugs...

Happy Monday.. are you all planning your Thanksgiving dinners? I went to the store today to get all the fresh veggies that I need. I think I am ready. No matter what I believe we have plenty of food and will not go hungry. If anything may require stretchy pants later in the day. 

I have been die cutting a bunch of leaves to put on my dinner table for decoration. I am also thinking of making some little turkeys. Why not right? How are you decorating your table?

Today's card was created using... WPlus9 Design: Holiday Hugs stamp and die set, NUVO: Sea Breeze Jewel Drops, MFT: Sweet Celebration paper pad and Mama Elephant. Lots of different companies all mixed up on todays card. I colored with Copic sketch markers. Oh yeah I embossed the sentiment with Hero Arts detail black embossing powder. I do not emboss often but I have to say I love how it looks. I embossed on vellum.
