So the coloring on this card was totally inspired by Alice Wertz from aliceslittlewonderland.blogspot.com. She colors her images so awesome and I have always adored how she colored using no lines. It is not as easy as it looks. Let's just say I had a few throw-aways. This one is not perfect so don't look too close. Maybe close one eye so you don't see all the imperfections. LOL
I am experimenting today. I also used Stampendous Dreamweaver stencil embossing paste. I let it dry and added some fun Memento Luxe Electric Blue, Green, Orange and Yellow. Finally I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment on the card. Well as you can see the ink ran a little on the embossing paste. Maybe I used the wrong ink...who knows? If you do please tell me. I had a few hick-ups but I really did enjoy making this card and like the way it came out.
Well a card of new techniques.. what do you think?
Supplies:
Gourmet Rubber Stamps: Creative Stencils Hearts
Memento: Desert Sand colored with Copic Sketch markers

Darling card, Annette,! I love your heart-embossed background! Thanks for joining us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
ReplyDeleteI'm nuts about this card!! LOVE the pastel hearts in the background Annette, this is so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteI agree no line colouring is harder than it looks, but it's totally worth the effort I think because it can make a stamp look totally different. Love your little cutie! I haven't got a MISTI (yet), I'm not sure if I 'need' it, but one day I'll be sure to cave in lol.
ReplyDeleteYou know you need it Therese

I think this looks amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card, love your colouring of the stamped image and the colours on the embossing paste. No one else has said anything so thought I might add my thoughts for the stamping. You dont mention what ink you used to stamp your sentiment. Let me know and I might be able to help. A thought as well is that though you thought the stenciling was dry maybe it wasnt dry enough for stamping on, just a thought.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours on the embossing paste. I've never stamped on the paste before and am also curious of how it will work out for me. Your colouring is to perfection, Annette!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card! Maybe the embossing paste wasn't dry yet and that made the ink run?
ReplyDeletetoo cute!!
