July is the time to start those Christmas cards.
Taylored Expressions just released the Merry Blooms Cardmaking Kit
Perfect timing... right?
I love cardmaking kits that make cardmaking so easy. I started out with the Merry Blooms stamp, stencil, clear combo. I used TE premium inks Granny Smith and Lime Zest for the leaves. I kind of just stamped the ink here and there and mixed it up for a little contrast. Now time to stencil these gorgeous flowers. I used TE premium inks Watermelon and Cupcake. With the clear set I stamped the details of the flower with Watermelon and Dijon for the center.
Finishing up with this beautiful scripted sentiment from the Joyful clear stamp set and die cut using the coordinating dies.
Dont forget about those pretty envelopes and seals included in the kit.
I went a little non-traditional on this one. I first created this background by cutting strips of TE Premium Sweet Basil and Salt Water Taffy card-stock and adhering them to my card base. For fun I sprinkled a little Copic Opaque.
Next I die cut these Perfect Poinsettia dies on some of TE Pink Champagne card-stock and stamped the details from the Merry Blooms clear set. I added them to my card base using foam adhesives for a little dimension. I trimmed the Poinsettia's around the edges.
Finishing up with cutting a wider strip of Salt Water Taffy and stamping this lovely sentiment. I also added it to the card using foam adhesives.
Thanks for stopping by... Have a wonderful day!
Fabulous cards, Annette! Love the colors on your first one and the layered design of the second!
