Birthday Shaker...

YES! It is Friday and I woke up feeling much better. Thursday must have been my last bad day, because I thought it was never going to end. I think as you get older that colds are a little harder to recover from. It might just be me, it just feels that way.

Because I am much better I created this card using some older sets, which does not bother me one bit. I have lots of oldies that I still love and just can't get rid of them. So I dust them off and add some ink... LOL

Today's card was created using...

  • Avery Elle: Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp set
  • Avery Elle: Quilted Frame die
  • Avery Elle: Some Bunny stamp set
  • MFT: Fringe Banners
  • Pink & Main: Ballroom Gems

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

Die cut the Quilted Frame on a piece of green cardstock.

Die cut the Fringe Banners 4 times on four different colors of pink cardstock. Add the fringe to the back side of the circled die cut area of the Quilted Frame. Create a fun design that looks like you're ready to celebrate. Trim off access.

Stamp out the images from the Peek-a-Boo Pals stamp set using black ink on a separate piece of white cardstock. Color the images using your favorite medium. I used Copic Sketch markers. Die cut using the coordinating dies, if you have them. I did not, so I had to fussy cut. Adhere the hippo only at the bottom, but in the inside of the circle.

Cut a piece of acetate and adhere it to the back of your circle using double sided tear tape.

Add some foam tape to the sides of the acetate, creating a square for your shaker bits. Add some colored sequins to the center of your circle. Cut a piece of white cardstock for the backing of your shaker and adhere to the card with the foam tape you added before. Now adhere your shaker background to your card base.

Adhere the big balloon behind the hippo using liquid glue.

Finishing with a few of those Pink & Main Ballroom Gems that I love so much.

A little shaker fun for someone's special birthday. Very simple and totally fun to create.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a fantastic Friday!
