Plaid Florals...

Happy 4th of July blog friends. You would think I would have a 4th of July card BUT.... not today. I had one in the last post but today I have florals. It is a nice quiet day, a least until tonight. My husband and I are just chilling at home, where it is safe. We went out yesterday and it was crazy out there. So today we opt to stay home.

So today I am sharing this floral card designed using The Stamp Market:

  • Sending Bunches of Love stamp set
  • Plaid Stencil
  • Inks (Fuchsia, Coastal, Melon and Citrine)

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

Cut a piece of white cardstock, same size as your card front and stencil this cool Plaid background. When stenciling make sure to add your colors boldly. I am usually light handed when I blend ink onto a stencil but not today... bold, bold bold... Adhere the plaid background to your card base using liquid glue.

Stamp this beautiful floral stamp from the Sending Bunches of Love stamp set onto a separate piece of white cardstock and color using your favorite medium. I colored mine using Copic sketch markers. When choosing my colors I tired to coordinate them with the inks I used for the background.

I did not have the die for this image so I had to do a little fussy cutting. After fussy cutting or die cutting, add some foam tape behind the image and add it to your colorful background.

Die cut a simple circle die and stamp the sentiment from the Sending Bunches of Love stamp set and add it to the card using foam tape.

Not too many steps to create this card just lots of coloring. I really need to check all my markers and add some ink to them. That is a big job... you might understand what I am talking about.

I have a special guest design on Friday... so make sure to stop by again and see who I am guest designing for.

That is all for today.
Have a wonderful 4th of July.

Thank you for stopping by.

  1. What a BEAUTIFUL card, Annette! Love the colors and the interest the background adds without distracting from the flowers!
