Coffee Date with Shelly Kurth...

Welcome blog friends.. I am so excited to have been asked to guest design on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog with Shelly Kurth. She is such an awesome inspiration and I have been her long time crafty fan. We have gone with the theme of Red, Pink and Gold. So today I have created a shaker card.

Create card from white cardstock A2 size.

Die cut the Quilted Heart Backdrop Portrait on light Pink cardstock and adhere it to a piece of LF Hello Sunshine designer paper. I choose red because of our theme colors. Adhere your background now to your card base using liquid glue.

Die cut the Stitched Mug on red cardstock.

Die cut the Outside In Stitched Mug on the same designer paper you used for your background behind the hearts.

Die cut the Stitched Mug on a piece of acetate. Adhere the vellum to the Outside In Stitched Mug using tear tape. This is cleaner then using liquid glue.

Die cut the hearts from the Stitched Mug Frame die set on gold glitter cardstock and gold cardstock.

Add some foam tape along the edges of the back of your mug with the acetate. Leave the protectant layer on until we have all our shaker bits inside.

Add your die cut hearts to the shaker area and also add some sequins and bits inside to create a fun shaker. Peel the protectant layer from the foam tape and adhere the solid red mug to the back. Line it up as good ad you can.

Die cut the little tag from the Outside In Stitched Mug on white cardstock and tie it to your mug using burlap string.

Stamp out this fun bunch of hearts from the How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-on stamp set on white cardstock using black ink. Stamp the sentiments using embossing ink and heat emboss gold embossing powder. Die cut the heart out using the coordinating die. Adhere the hearts to the back of the mug, make sure to leave plenty showing at the top of the mug.  Add foam tape to the back of the mug and hearts and adhere it at an angle to your heart background.

Finishing off with a small strip of gold at the bottom of the card.

This is Shelly Kurth's card and it is gorgeous.
