Good Morning everyone... Well it happen to us and all I can say is why? We went to Palm Springs for a few days but it got cut short due to a pipe bursting..Yes I said it a Pipe Bursting.. My NEW KITCHEN is totally ruined. The cabinets my WOOD counter top all ruined. The cabinets where FILLED WITH WATER and the ceiling was dripping WITH WATER.. oh my...Have you heard stories of people going on vacation and their house flooded? Well it happened to us but lucky my mother-in-law was taking care of our dog and came by every day. Because it would have flooded my entire house. Can you image? She was able to turn the water to the house off but the damage was already done. We had to rush home...wow wee...
So we have no water and my kitchen is totally ruined. How is that for a mini VACA?...
Well that is all...just had to get it off my chest..
Oh, dear! I am so sorry!!!! I hope your insurance can at least recover the damage!ReplyDelete
Oh Annette, I'm so sorry to hear about this! How frustrating, but thank goodness your MIL was able to be there. I'll be praying for a quick and speedy resolution!ReplyDelete
Sorry to hear about this catastropheReplyDelete
you need to bear with now... Oh my I
can imagine what you both are going through. Let the almighty God take over from here and pray that you get this all repaired quickly.
I am so sorry about the damage done to your house whilst on vacation, Annette! Hope you manage so savage something....ReplyDelete
Oh dear!! I am so sorry! My parents had a similar story--but it was days before they got home. Oh, I really am sorry!! Good luck and hugs Seattle!!ReplyDelete
oh no! so sorry!! i wouldn't have thought that in summer: winter there is the possibility of a pipe freezing and bursting (and not even so much where we live)... we did have an outside pipe break while we were on vacation once.... a flooded a yard is much better than a kitchen. so sorry that happened to you. boo :(ReplyDelete
Sorry to hear that Annette.ReplyDelete
Awww sooo sorry to hear this Annette. Sending plenty of hugs your way. Sending prayers that you guys get a bright new sunny kitchen.ReplyDelete
oh annette, i am sooo sorry!! i always try to look on the bright side of things and at least no one was hurt and everyone is safe! good luck!ReplyDelete
Oh what a pain in the backside. I'm so sorry. xxReplyDelete
Oh man. So sorry to hear this. This might not help your frustration, but try and be thankful it was only water. We rent, and one time (a couple years ago) I was out taking my son to the doctor, and the sewer pipe backed up into my basement. Need I say more. Ugh!! HugsReplyDelete
Oh my gosh, that is terrible, Annette! I'm sorry this happened and interrupted your vacation. I do hope that the contractors who build the kitchen can be held responsible and your insurance will cover the repairs. Sigh, thank goodness for your mom-in-law! Will be thinking of you!ReplyDelete
YIKES!!!! girlfriend i am soooo sorry to read this :( sending big hugs your way (and of course prayers!)ReplyDelete
oh no, so sorry to hear this!ReplyDelete
Oh my, Annette. I know all about the unwanted water this summer - but at least ours was in the basement. Your poor kitchen! And poor you :( I hope it's all covered by insurance.ReplyDelete
What a shocker Annette! Hope you can get it all sorted asap... no water is a real pain!ReplyDelete
Ugh! Oh, Annette, I'm so, so sorry! I hope everything works out with insurance. Believe it or not, just today, I read about another kitchen that flooded. Their dishwasher malfunctioned in the middle of the night. Ick! What a mess! Thinking of you.ReplyDelete
What a bummer! I'm so sorry Annette. I pray that it gets back to normal ASAP.ReplyDelete
I am so sorry to hear that!ReplyDelete
Oh no! That is awful! :( I'm sorry you have had your new kitchen ruined and it cut your vacation short - both of these are NO FUN!! I hope your insurance can help you put things back together again and you can take an even better vacation once the dust has settled (or water has dried)! :)ReplyDelete

Oh my goodness, I can't even imagine the feeling! What a blessing though that your MIL was coming by daily! This is not something that would have been on my mind during the summer that is for sure. Oh goodness! I hope insurance can help! Thinking of you!ReplyDelete
Oh NO! :( I am so sorry to hear it. I hope that insurance will cover the bulk of the damage. HUGE hugs! :( xoReplyDelete
I am so sorry to hear that!
It has happened to us many moons ago when we were on a short trip to Florida in February and because Hubby turned the furnace off and not down as he thought he had, all of our pipes exploded throughout the house...
Sending you virtual hugs!!
Oh, gosh, that is terrible news. :( especially with a brand new kitchen! My in-laws had the very same thing happen to them. They had been away on vaca and the pipes from the whirlpool tub in their master bath burst and water was ALL over the family room below. Sheesh! I'm so sorry to hear about this, Annette, and I hope you're able to get things back to where you want them.ReplyDelete
