WHY?

Good Morning everyone... Well it happen to us and all I can say is why? We went to Palm Springs for a few days but it got cut short due to a pipe bursting..Yes I said it a Pipe Bursting.. My NEW KITCHEN is totally ruined. The cabinets my WOOD counter top all ruined. The cabinets where FILLED WITH WATER and the ceiling was dripping WITH WATER.. oh my...Have you heard stories of people going on vacation and their house flooded? Well it happened to us but lucky my mother-in-law was taking care of our dog and came by every day. Because it would have flooded my entire house. Can you image? She was able to turn the water to the house off but the damage was already done. We had to rush home...wow wee...

So we have no water and my kitchen is totally ruined. How is that for a mini VACA?...

Well that is all...just had to get it off my chest..

  6. oh no! so sorry!! i wouldn't have thought that in summer: winter there is the possibility of a pipe freezing and bursting (and not even so much where we live)... we did have an outside pipe break while we were on vacation once.... a flooded a yard is much better than a kitchen. so sorry that happened to you. boo :(

  10. Oh man. So sorry to hear this. This might not help your frustration, but try and be thankful it was only water. We rent, and one time (a couple years ago) I was out taking my son to the doctor, and the sewer pipe backed up into my basement. Need I say more. Ugh!! Hugs

  26. POOR things!
I am so sorry to hear that!
It has happened to us many moons ago when we were on a short trip to Florida in February and because Hubby turned the furnace off and not down as he thought he had, all of our pipes exploded throughout the house...

    Sending you virtual hugs!!

  27. Oh, gosh, that is terrible news. :( especially with a brand new kitchen! My in-laws had the very same thing happen to them. They had been away on vaca and the pipes from the whirlpool tub in their master bath burst and water was ALL over the family room below. Sheesh! I'm so sorry to hear about this, Annette, and I hope you're able to get things back to where you want them.
