MOM...

We have made our way around again... Happy Monday everyone. Today is it cool outside and as I am writing this post I am thinking I might need a little sweater today. The moisture in the air makes it feel so much cooler. Thank goodness for the ocean air.

With the months flying by us and all the crafters posting Mother's day cards I thought I better get in gear and get my mom's card made. So I came up with this card created using Honey Bee Stamps: Mother's Day and Spring Blossoms stamp set and Lawn Fawn: Polka Heart Backdrops die set

The paper in the background is from an older Dear Lizzy paper pad, sorry don't remember which one. I adhered that to my card base and used some vellum with the Heart backdrop die. Got to have hearts on your Mother's Day card... right?

I colored the images using Copic sketch makers and totally had to fussy cut, but I consider myself a pro at fussy cutting. LOL I wanted some dimension on my card so I used Scotch foam tape. Finishing up with stamping the sentiment on some white card-stock and adhering to my card. Really simple card if you think about it.

That is all for today.
Have a wonderful Monday!

  1. Thanks for posting this card. The background uses vellum in a unique way. I will remember it for my future cards. Great Mother's Day card!
