2021 Card Design Superstar: Coloring Virtuoso Challenge

 

I am back at it once again and trying my luck now for the My Favorite Things: Coloring Virtuso challenge. I created this card using MFT Super Friend stamp set, Box Cover-Up die-namic and Black & White Strips 6x6 paper pad. 

I went for a simple design so not sure if this can compete with some of the amazing scenes I have seen in this challenge but I am giving it a go. I almost did a scene but went with just LOTS of color.

I started with ink blending on a piece of white card-stock then die cutting the Box Cover-Up die. I took out the windows and then splattered a bit of Copic Opaque. You know how much I love that opaque look. I then die cut the Box Cover-Up die again on white card-stock and stamped the images from the Super Friend stamp set. I stamped the images again on some Masking Magic so I can mask the images then add the background color. For the backgrounds I did a solid ink instead of the ink blending. I wanted the colors to pop just a bit more around the images. 

I peeled the masking magic off and colored my images using Copic Sketch markers. I put the masking magic back on and sprinkled more of that fun Copic Opaque again. Can you really have too much of that stuff...... well maybe.... but not this time. LOL

For the 4th box where I wanted the sentiment I stamped the sentiment and also did a little masking so it gives that highlight look. I kind of like it.... what do you think?

Finishing but with some of that fun Black & White Strips designer paper on the sides and again in the middle. 

I wanted the eyes to pop so I added a little Glossy Accents.
