Candy...

YAY! today I am on the ScrapbookPal blog and I am sharing a bit of Halloween....

Who’s ready for Halloween? Are you creating for Halloween yet? All the cute new stamps and dies are coming out and today I am creating with the new Sizzix Tim Holtz: Trick or Treat Colorize and Bold Text Halloween Thinlits dies.

Create a card from card-stock (A2) using white card-stock.

I with a cutting a piece of misc. black and white striped designer paper and adhering it to my card base using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. I set my card base aside so I can create these fun Candy Corns.

I first choose my colors using misc. colored cardstock. The best part is the dies tell you what color to use for each cut. It is etched on the back of each die. So I die cut eight of each piece so I can create eight Candy Corns for my background. I adhered all the pieces together using Bearly Art Precision Craft glue.

I then die cut the sentiment from the Bold Text Halloween Thinlits die set, of course I choose the I’m Here of the Candy sentiment. I am all about the candy for Halloween. I cut a piece of black cardstock 3 x 2 1/2 and then die cut the sentiment. I cut another piece of yellow cardstock the same size and layered it behind the sentiment. I added the sentiment to the middle of my card using 3L Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares. I only added the foam squares to the center that way I can tuck some of the candy corns behind the sentiment.

Now that my sentiment is centered, it is time to add those cute candy corns all around it. I adhered them to the card using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue.

Now who’s excited for these sets? I absolute love them. The dies are so fun and easy to create with. Time to start those Halloween cards...
