Let's Celebrate...

Hello blog friends.. I am back with another stenciled background. I told you it was coming and well here it is. This card took me a while because I wanted it to really pop with color and so it took me some time to figure out the colors I wanted to use. I will list the inks below.

Card designed using...
  • Pretty Pink Posh: Birthday Signs stamp set
  • Pretty Pink Posh: Layered Birthday Cakes stencils
  • Pretty Pink Posh: Birthday Mug Additions dies
  • Hero Arts Hues: Creamsicle, Taffy, Fruit Punch and Lemon Drop
  • Ranger Stickles: Yellow
  • Copic Opaque
  • Pink & Main: Foam Tape

Create card from cardstock A2 size.

Stencil the Layered Birthday Cakes directly onto your card base. There are four stencils that layer so you can go wild with color. When I got to the B stencil I inked up the stencil and then left the stencil in place so I can sprinkle some Copic Opaque and it show only in that area of the cake.

Using Ranger Stickles Yellow add a little shine to those flames. Make sure to let dry completely before adding anything else to your card.

I die cut a random die on some vellum and then added it to the card. You can use foam tape if you put the foam tape where your images will cover the take, since the vellum is see through.

I die cut these fun Birthday Mug Additions birthday hats on misc pieces of colored cardstock and adhered them together. I die cut enough for three hats and then sprinkles a bit of Copic Opaque and let dry before adding them to my card, also using foam tape.

I die cut the candle also from the Birthday Mug dies on white cardstock and stamped one of the sentiments from the Birthday Signs on the candle stem. I die cut the candle again on yellow glitter cardstock and added a little shine to that flame. Using foam tape adhere the sentiment to the card.

Tada... a birthday card and I have to admit that it was totally fun to create. These stencils are amazing and so fun to ink up. I am a big fan. MORE to come soon...

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Have an awesome day!
